River Locks

Tuesday has been a travel day, down river. Just before Noon we gathered outside, in the beautiful sunshine, to watch our Ship pass through one of the Dneiper River Locks. Locks are an amazing River & Canal concept as one travels up or down the waters elevation. Today was the first time many of us had seen such an adventure. It was amazing to watch our Ship squeeze in between the giant concrete walls, guided so gracefully by the Master Pilot. The water lowered our vessel some 50 to 60 feet.

We stood almost breathless as the huge wall in front of us slowly began to open. We were literally down inside the dark walls of the Lock. But just beyond that old stained barrier began to appear the bright sunshine, the glistening river, and the lush wheat fields beyond. It seemed for a minute that time stood still. Can you imagine what it will be like to watch Heavens Gates of Pearl swing open for us someday? Our Captain will have so masterfully guided us home!!!

That’s the message we’ve come to share. There IS hope, and eternal life, beyond this world’s old barriers.Pray that the tender hearts we’ll share this with, in tomorrow’s two Orphanages.

Reading this blog has caused my heart to pump quickly this morning! Troy and I have prayed for you daily and Taylor just came to me with something she read from a young missionary and I immediately said that I had to send this to your team. This is our prayer for each of you…….
*To never be the same again
*To experience God like never before
*To be broken for the heart and cause of Christ
*To learn how to pour out everything you have into people you’ve never met
*To wear your heart on your sleeve
*To experience true freedom in God
*To become more dependent on Him for everything
    * To grow deeper in your relationship with Him
    *To discover secrets
*To live solely for the kingdom and in the kingdom
*To learn to appreciate the small things in life
*To see God as you never have before
*To make long and lasting relationships with people
    *To put others before yourself
    *To learn true humility
*To learn and see how to pour living, breathing, “Agape” love into others
*To grow deep, deep, deep into relationships
To sum it up…..Love God with all your heart and love others as your self.

These are the prayers we have for you with all our love.
