A year of planning, 45 days of focusing on language, learning music, and gathering supplies. For three weeks we’ve been packing. And now we’re off like a herd of Turtles!!! All that’s left is prayer. You will never know how much we are each glad that you are on the other end of that Prayer Line!!! Isn’t it exciting to see what all God has in store for our preparation.

Hi everyone! I trust that your two team members from MD caught up with you in Amsterdam and now the whole gang is together. The members of the Chinese Church of Greater Washington were encouraged to blog and pray. Derek got the house rockin’ during the New Life service to a song called “Take It All” and Elder K.C. challenged us to let God use us completely and for His purpose. You are all on a MISSION OF PURPOSE and God will be exalted as a result of the lives you are touching. The power of Christ is beyond measure and your faithfulness will result in people seeing Jesus for the first time! Have a blast and watch out for those German tourists! (I hear they can really add some life to the party!) Ya lublu tibya, Julia and Ingrid

Hi pastor Gene and Paige,
Just wondering whether you two have arrived safely or not? You two are in our prayers all the time. This morning elder K.C. preach about Paul’s prayer from Philippians 1:9-11 and encourage that we should follow Paul’s example when we pray. I think this is a great prayer, besides praying for your health, safety, and boldness in sharing God , I pray that you both will know God more deeply through this trip and continue to glorify HIM wherever you! Way to go Paige, I know you are very nervous and worry about this trip because this is your first time and you are missing school work; but don’t worry, let God be God and HE’ll bless you abundantly. We are praying for you exponentially!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love, Johnny, Lily, Jonathan, and Andy

Hey Pastor Gene, Paige, and rest of the team,
Hope you guys arrived safe in Ukraine together. I guess I’m the first teen from Chinese Christian Church of Greater Washington D.C. to write. I hope you all have a great experience and that God uses you all to spread the Word. When you guys are in trouble or facing difficulties, look to- Psalms 139:16 (NLT) Everyday of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

More shoutouts from Maryland! I [okay, shamefully] just found out what this mission is all about, and I love love love it. Will definitely be praying for you, everything you’ll be seeing and all that God is doing through you.
P.S. Paige, pshh no worries about schoolwork allowed, girl!

Dear Pastor Gene and Paige,
I’m so envious of you – I wish I could be there in Ukraine with you all! We missed you all in Sunday worship yesterday. I think everyone (mostly the adults) was shocked when the praise team did “Take It All.” The teens on the other hand were having a lot of fun worshiping to that song. We’ll be praying for you throughout your trip. I’m sure that God will use you to touch many lives in the orphanages. Take care!
Blessings,
Dan and Sharon
