Four Amigos – Day #3

October 8th, 2008 by Team Member

Hi All:

The four Amigos had a fairly good day yesterday. Yes, it rained again yesterday but this time all day long. We think it is going to clear up today. We are celebrating Jim’s Bday today. He is 39 today. Go Jim! We bless the Amigos today and we are thankful for these men who are taking time out to help the HH vision.

We unloaded all the sheet rock yesterday, stacked, and covered it. We firmed up the roof for work today. We hope to put the entire roof on today.

We were introduced to the mission house by the construction site. We knocked down a concrete wall and built a wood one in the kitchen. We will work on the mission house if it continues to rain today. We are praying that the weather holds out but we understand the blessing of rain for this country.

We are eating very well and Ira and Yuri are a great Host and Hostess. It is God blessing we are here. Thanks for your prayers. We love and miss our families.

The 4 Amigos!

Sorry to hear about the rain but Yuri is very good at filling in with “special” projects. Tell Yuri that he needs to ease off on all the good food because we are going to weigh each of you when you return home. If you have gained weight, then we will suspect that you have not worked hard enough. Margaret told me that Garry tried to call yesterday. I hope he tries again. By the way, when you start nailing on the 5cm x 5cm strips for the roof, make sure that about every third joist that you put two nails. That will eliminate the possibility of movement that exists on a pin (single nail) type connection. I will be praying for good weather and your continued success.
