It’s now 11 o’clock on monday night (3pm there). All is great after 36 hours of invigorating travel. Today was our time to rest and prepare for the start of our workweek tomorrow. Lots of pingpong and “sentimental walks on the beach” keeps the ankles fresh.
Rex is keeping us on our (see beach reference above, he was last out of the bed). Chad “Sensei” Bawcum has made us all afraid of any card games. We’ll be cleaning up the mess left by Troy’s last visit and building interior walls in Mixin’s house. The weather is great and looks like we’ll only have rain on Monday (gotta keep Mark from melting; he’s so sweet). To everyone back home, we all thank you for your prayers (double up on Chad Williams). This is looking like it will be a great group to work with once we work out the Masters (kinks).

Glad to hear from the team. We are Rex’s “in-laws” so we know all about the late sleeping. Just kidding. We’re both glad the team made it there safe and sound. I know before long you’ll all be diving into the hard labor.
Keep in touch with everyone back home. And last but not least, we will be praying for you and thinking about you often. As everyone that makes the trip I’m sure each of you will find that YOU are the one that will be blessed the most. You’ll also find out how lucky you are and how many things we all take for granted.
God bless,
Larry and Faye Autry

Hey Everyone,
Great to hear that you all are safely there! I know that it is Easter there today and I hope that was extra special for you guys. Please know that we are all praying for you and that we appreciate all that you are doing and the sacrifices your families have made to let you go.
Please give my love to Yuri, Ira, Sergei and all our Ukrainian friends.
With great anticipation for more updates….

Glad to hear you all made it. I have so many fond memories of the train ride you all just undertook. Brian, when you all go to the work site tomorrow, say hello to Max’s neighbor Alexander. I know that you all will be greatly blessed by this experience. I wish that I was there with you. Chad, I enjoyed getting to know you in our pistol class. You will have a great time with these Godly men.
Looking forward to hearing your updates.

I Hope Max and his family are well. I am sure he will be glad to see some familar faces. I know Yuri and Surgei are ready for a week with the hard working christians from Tennessee. We are praying for your safety and that you touch some lives. I know Max and his wife are making a difference in the lives of 4 orphans- and it wouldn’t be possible without you.
Please beat Rex in pingpong!

Casey- Well, First off I have to say that I didn’t even realize that you were going on a missions trip. So reading your emails not only surprised me, but made me so very, very proud to call you my cousin. It is hard to believe that you were once this little girl that used to follow me around(by the way, I loved every moment of it). Now I can see that you have grown into a woman of God. It is so great to hear how the Lord is working in your life and the lives of the children. I believe that it is very easy for us to know what we should do, but much harder sometimes to actually follow His will for our lives. Please know that we are thinking of you and your teammates and praying that God will continue to work in a mighty way. Can’t wait to hear about the rest of the trip. Love you!!!
