We arrived safely yesterday evening after a long flight and bus ride. All our travels were safe, we got all of our luggage, and customs was a breeze. God has truly been with us and continues to bless us on this mission.
We are all on board the ship in Odessa, and today we are preparing our teams for orphanages starting Tuesday. We also got a chance to do some shopping! Yuri is treating us to a tour of Odessa this afternoon.
The entire group seems to be rested after our long trip here. Thanks for praying for us!

Dear Dawn,
You are ever in my thoughts and prayers as your mission unfolds. I know that you will be a blessing in the lives of the orphans with whom you interact because you have such a special gift of sharing God’s love! In the message that our minister brought this morning, he charged us to “be the Jesus that others see” this week. What wonderful advice for all of us; but my mind went half way around the world to the unselfish way that you guys are “being the Jesus” that so many young eyes will be seeing this week!! I know that God will work many miracles through your efforts! After all, God is good — all the time!!
Love,
Linda

Trust all is well. Am praying daily that God grant you health, wisdom and big dose of fun. I find that after trips such as this it is quite helpful to take some time to decompress so as to process everything you have seen, heard and experienced. I have also found that Switzerland is the best place to do this. Off for Africa: will check in when/if I can.
June 4th, 2007 at 8:05 am
Glad to hear everything is good with the trip. It rained at your house Fri and Sat. We made it home with the lizard. Ha! Andy and Olivia send their love. We will continue praying for you guys. Love you.

Dear Dawn,
Since there isn’t an update, I asume that you guys are too busy to blog!! I can hardly wait to hear how God is blessing you all as you minister to the children, and how He is working in the hearts of little ones! I can imagine that your hearts must be about to burst with a wide range of emotions as you depart each orphanage. You are all in my prayers, and you are all heroes to those of us back here!! Keep on keeping on!
Love,
Linda

Dear Team who have a heart for adoption,
This is the second time I am writing this so if you alread got my previous comment please excuse my electronic disability. I would like to ask you as a team to pray for our son and daughter-in-law who have been in the process of a second adoption from Colombia for some time. Today we learned that it doesn’t look like the adoption will take place. It’s the same thing that is happening in other countries where the government is encouraging their own people to adopt orphans. We need God’s comfort and it’s wisdom in what steps to take now. A domestic adoption is one possiblility. This is a painful time as I know that Patrick and Kasey especially understand but we are trusting God’s heart even when we can’t trace His had right now. His ways are higher that our ways and His thought higer than ours. I am so joyful for the work that I know God is doing in and through all of you. Praying for you, Mary
