Day 7

May 10th, 2007 by Team Member

Another beautiful day was provided to us and not a second was wasted. We completed the concrete pour today. The pour went well with no major problems. Despite the hard work and long days the team is still in high spirits and having a good time. It makes a difference when the work you are doing is so worthwhile. We also had to dig 11 holes for fence posts. Let me tell you, the ground is not sand. I think the land that the mission house in being built on holds every rock in Ukraine.

I don’t say this to brag but to illustrate just how important every team member and every group that makes this journey for God, the Children and HopeHouse are. Yuri told me today that the work our team has completed in just 4 days would have taken them 1 month to complete by themselves.

We all wish Troys team safe travels. We will be praying for you guys that are leaving on Friday. You are in for a treat. The hotel is wonderful.

To be continued

Whoohoo! Guess Matt 16:18 exemplifies the holes you dug…”upon this rock I will build my church!” He is always in the small things! Rex thanks for taking the time at the end of your day to share the progress…know you had to be exhausted and still typed away. Glad all went well and we look forward to seeing you guys soon. Enjoy the sights tomorrow! Praying for a safe return and Troy…we will be praying for you and your team as you build those walls!

    Privyet Drusia (Greetings Friends)!

I enjoyed reading the blogs. Why didn’t you go to the dining car for some authentic Borscht?

I tell ya, I can visualize the work you are doing as we were able to visit the site last September. What a blessing the Mission House will be. I talked to Troy tonight and he is looking forward to his trip tomorrow. Just reading about the work you are doing is exciting me even more for my trip coming up in September. Please say hi to Yuri and Ira. By the way… have you had any of those big apple dumpling things? Yuummmmmmm!!! God Bless all of you and keep up the good work.

    Hey Guys,

Thank you so much for the incredible work you got accomplished! I know you worked long hours and gave it your all. Yuri emailed me this morning and re-stated how very important these building teams are to this ministry…..for many reasons. We are all so grateful for your willingness to take time off from work, give of your resources and give of yourselves with such servant’s hearts. Please know that ministry and blessings will be reaped for generations as a result of you and all of our bldg teams. We thank you and your families for being a part of our big HopeHouse Family.
    With love and appreciation,
    Mark, Deneen and Yuri!
