Jim Whatton – Day 1

Posted on October 5, 2008

The 4 Amigos trip out to Ukraine was very long but it will be worth it when we start putting on the roof shingles on tomorrow. It took us 4 airplanes and 32 hours to get here. We met up with Yuri in Kiev. Did some touring of the city of Kiev, monuments, and WWII sites. We finally arrived at Yuri’s house at 10PM. We got some well deserved sleep on Saturday night. We woke up on Sunday then had breakfast and went to worship. It was an awesome experience to see a Ukrainian church worship. The service included the Lord’s Supper. It was an amazing to be present for this service. I have a video of Sergai T. (From Forest Hills) singing and playing the piano. He is amazing!!!! Anyway, the 4 Amigos had a wonderful day and are rested and ready to go. God has blessed us for being here. We give him the glory and grace for this week. God bless.

Our Mission

HopeHouse International exists so that Orphans in Ukraine can become adopted by Christian couples within their country. Adequate housing is a barrier for most citizens, and it is a government prerequisite for adoption. HopeHouse International enables adoptions by addressing adequate housing needs which result in three or more children being given a family and a future.
