Monday's Motley Crew update
Just laying down after supper and a good days work. The heater is buzzing and the soft tap of ping pong and laughing is faint in the background.
Dinner included a traditional dish.. Not sure the name but they were similar to quesedillas.. It was a quiet dinner.. Too busy eating.
Some of our systems are handling the food better than others… We may have to rob a Crimean war stockade for gas masks. I won’t embarras the culprets…
The weather was cold today. Partly over cast and a cold north wind blew most of the day. It kept us motivated to work to stay warm. it did rain but while we were in for lunch at Yurras house (blessing). We ate so well (pork-chops, cucumber salad, mash potatoes and coke light) oh and lots of chocolate!
Most of the work was cleaning and staining the roof panels and treating the roof joyces. Many hands did make light work.
Everyone is doing really well.. This is an entertaining group. We thank Art for helping us today.. He leaves tommorow. It was nice getting to know him.
Thank you for your responses and encouragment!
God Bless us all..

Hey Uncle Kenny,
I hope you guys are having fun! I can’t wait to go with my dad to one of these building teams and with you Uncle Kenny. We’ve been praying for you and praying that you would have dry weather. I love you Uncle Ken.
Bye,
Andrew

Hi “Motley Crew” (I guess that is your name now?)
Thanks for the up-date. Was the dish that you didn’t know the name for perhaps called “blinchiki”? My mom used to make them, but I wouldn’t eat them because they were too fattening.
Just to let you know I prayed for you this morning and will again tonight. You are in my thoughts throughout the day as well. May the Lord keep you safe. I know He will bless your efforts Look forward to reading your next message. Tell Ken I love him.
Love you all,
Lee

Hi guys! I love reading the blog updates! Thanks so much for taking the time to write them. I can’t imagine how hard you are working and I know the weather is challenging right now. How mightily God will bless you all and all those involved for HIS work that you are doing. What a witness to those of us here at home and especially to those there in the Ukraine watching you all work tirelessly for a family you don’t even know…..all in the name of the Lord. The impact that your and all the teams’ work has is uncomprehendable. Hunter and I have prayed for you diligently. Hunter has prayed the sweetest and funniest prayers….out of the mouths of babes you know. I pray that God grants you all strength and endurance for the days ahead and that God would pour His spirit all over you, bringing you a closeness to God’s heart that you have never experienced before. Ken, we miss you. It’s so quiet here in the evenings without you here. Gunnar IS enjoying sleeping on your pillow though…….. You guys take care and keep us up to date.
All our love,
Hunter & Crystal

Hey guys, Sounds like your team is getting along great despite the weather. I hope you have better (warmer) weather the rest of the week. You guys enjoy the ping pong table, we put it to good use also. Tell Art, the Band of Brothers send a big hello and hope he has a great trip home. I know you guys enjoyed meeting him. We were honored to have him on my team. Ken, don’t even think about trying to recruit him for future teams. LOL We were honored to pass the torch on to your team. Just know that everyone one of you are in our prayers and thoughts. The work you are doing will change the lives of Max and his family forever but it will also change yours. God will bless each and everyone of you for the sacrifices you are making. Good luck and be safe. Tell Yuri, Ira, Sergei and Max we all say Hello and that we miss them already.

Well, I am glad to know that you are all eating well. I know Chris does not get a home cooked meal as often as he should (and it’s not too great unless he cooks it himself). We all miss you Chris. The kids pray for you morning and night. Kylee can’t wait to play football with you. Katie wants to snuggle and Austin wants to wrestle. Keep up the hard work and know that you are all still in my prayers.
