Day 4 – Rex we got your message OR You must blow dry your fruit
This morning we ripped down the forms and ‘de-nailed’ the wood….before finally giving way to the block work. Art, Jim, Joe, the Kevins and Michael did a fantastic job discovering their masonry talents while chef’s Troy and Lee cooked up the sweetest batch of cement this side of the Prime Meridian. A brief, misguided critique of their output was met with a stern response. Shawn acted as the special projects manager, which any special projects manager will tell you, is never a good idea. Sergei looks completely different with his Beatle cut. We almost didn’t recognize him. It is great to be working for and around him again. Rex, you’ve set the bar pretty high and I can say, almost to a man, that we won’t come close to matching it, but we’re going to have a blast trying, which prompts me to mention, Troy’s practical jokes are probably going to get him in trouble at some point on this trip. Now…must…go……..sore…and….tired.

We’re glad you made it there safely and are having such a great time. We will keep praying for more of the same. Lee, Art & Michael: if you make it back with photos, don’t forget to do your best “turtle” – The Misfits would appreciate it! We love you and miss you!

Glad to hear Joe, Jim & the two Kevins made it safely from Florida. We appreciate what you are doing and the sacrifices you have made to be there. You are in my prayers daily – not only for safety and health; but I know this experience is going to change you in ways you can’t even imagine. We’re looking forward to your many stories when you return about your experiences and your new Christian friends in the Ukraine. Ralph

2 things, Lee:
#1) Ducks took 1 game out of the Joe. Series tied 1-1.
#2) From the Ukraine marketing dept. “What happens in Ukraine, stays in Ukraine.”
Enjoy, be safe, do good work. Looking forward to stories when you return. You’re all in our prayers.

It’s great reading the teams progress in the blogs. It seems as if I’m still on site right there with you all. I can’t believe you guys have already torn down the great looking forms that Rex’s team worked so hard to build. Oh well, I guess progress must go on. I only hope it won’t take too much mortar in the joints to get that first row level enough to set blocks.
You’re in our thoughts and prayers as you work each day. May God’s Will be the first and foremost thing we all seek as we continue to push forward.
Don’t work to hard and if you do there’s always “Advil” to ease the pain. Also, watch out for the showers. They’re notorious for “spitting and sputtering” at you.
Hope you’re having a great day.
In His Love,
Larry
